Definition: Bus Cost per Passenger Trip measures operating cost of providing bus service per unlinked passenger boarding.

 

Performance (September 2024):

The Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.43 in September exceeded the forecast by $1.47. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over budget and bus ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.1 million. The 2025 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through September) Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.40 exceeded the forecast by $0.67. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over the budget.
